Customer Background

The customer is a well-known domestic manufacturer of chassis and cabinets, mainly engaged in the production of complete electrical equipment, communication cabinets and other products. Its products are widely used in power, communication and other fields. The core demands are to solve the problems of low efficiency, insufficient precision and high cost caused by the separation of traditional stamping and laser cutting processes. The customer has high requirements for processing consistency and equipment cost-performance ratio, and also hopes to reduce floor space and labor input.

Customer Pain Points

1.Traditional processing requires separate CNC punching machines and laser cutting machines. The two processes are carried out independently, involving sheet handling and re-clamping, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and prone to positioning deviations, leading to an increased reject rate. Especially for workpieces requiring a hole edge distance tolerance within ±0.1mm, accumulated errors are difficult to control.

2.High equipment investment cost: the total price of two sets of equipment is relatively high, and independent operating space and semi-finished product storage areas need to be reserved, resulting in low site utilization. Meanwhile, two operators are required, keeping labor costs high.

3.Cumbersome process flow: handling and re-clamping take 15–25 minutes per batch, severely restricting overall production efficiency and failing to meet the delivery requirements of bulk orders.

Solution

Qingdao Dadong customized a punching-cutting integrated machine for the customer, integrating dual functions of laser cutting and CNC punching to create an efficient processing solution featuring "one-time clamping, full-process completion". The machine can perform stamping processes such as round holes, louvers and embossments. The laser cutting station on the right can accurately process complex shapes such as special-shaped contours and small-radius arcs.
